Avitrol Plus Bird Wormer Syrup Concentrate – 25ml & 100ml

Avitrol Plus Bird Wormer Syrup Concentrate is a treatment for the control of internal parasites in caged birds, including:

• Threadworm (Capillaria sp.)
• Caecal worm (Heterakis sp.)
• Roundworm (Ascaridia sp.)
• Gape worm (Syngamus sp.)
• Gizzard worm (Acuaria sp.)
• Tapeworm (Raillietina sp.)

Avitrol Plus Bird Wormer Syrup Concentrate contains active constituent of 100mg/ml levamisole hydrochloride and 2mg/ml praziquantel.

Avitrol Plus Bird Wormer Syrup Concentrate

Contraindications

• Administration to species or strains of birds known to be sensitive to the effects of levamisole.
• Not recommended for use in Gouldian finches.

Precautions

• Parrots appear to be less tolerant than pigeons to levamisole.
• Do not dose in extremely hot, dry weather or treat stressed birds, or birds that are feeding young.
• Withhold treatment for seven days for any birds intended for human consumption.

Dosage

• Finch 15g 1.5?drops of undiluted syrup.
• Budgerigar 30g 3.0 drops of undiluted syrup.
• Budgerigar 50g 5.0 drops of undiluted syrup.
• Cockatiel 80g 8.0 drops of undiluted syrup.
• Cockatoo 500g 50.0 drops of undiluted syrup.

Easy to use, dilute the concentrated syrup by adding 0.5ml (12 drops from the dropper) to 20ml of water. Use this as the sole sources of drinking water for 24 hours and administer two doses 14 days apart.
