ADAPTIL Transport Spray – Comforting Pheromone for Dogs
ADAPTIL is a synthetic copy of the dog appeasing pheromone, which mimics the natural signal of security and comfort given by mother dogs. It helps dogs and puppies feel reassured and relaxed in challenging situations such as travel, vet visits, or new environments.
ADAPTIL Transport Spray becomes effective immediately after application, but it’s important to allow at least 15 minutes for the alcohol to evaporate before introducing your dog to the sprayed area.
When to Use:
- If your dog shows signs of discomfort during transport (panting, trembling, restlessness, salivation, vomiting)
- Before travelling: Spray inside the car, your dog’s carrier, or bedding
- Before a vet visit: Spray in the car, the carrier, or on your dog’s blanket or bedding
Instructions:
- Spray directly inside the car, carrier, or on your dog’s bedding/blanket
- Use 8–10 sprays per application
- Wait 15 minutes after spraying before letting your dog into the area
- Reapply every 1.5 to 2 hours during long journeys
- Each 60mL bottle delivers approximately 50 applications (8 sprays per use)
Important Notes:
- Never spray directly on the dog
- Never spray inside the carrier while the dog is inside
- ADAPTIL is not a treatment for motion sickness – avoid feeding your dog for at least 6 hours prior to travel (do not restrict water)
- ADAPTIL is not effective for aggression – consult a veterinarian or veterinary behaviourist for such cases
Each dog may react slightly differently to ADAPTIL. Always monitor your dog’s response and adjust usage as needed.
