PAW Manuka Wound Gel is made with Manuka honey, natural oils and waxes to create a gentle, yet robust, layer over wounds.

The solution is made with minimal heat to ensure the natural healing properties of the Manuka honey are preserved.?When used in the treatment of wounds, the gel reduces run off and helps to make dressing changes easier.

It works to maintain natural wound pH and control odours. PAW Manuka Wound Gel helps to?prevent wound contamination and external bacteria colonisation, two common causes of wound infection.

It also helps?eradicate slough and necrotic tissues, supporting the body’s healing processes to restore the skin’s natural protective barrier.

Precaution

• Do not use on heavily exuding wounds.
• Not recommended for use in body cavities.
• In the event of a slow or non-responding wound, seek veterinary advice.

Directions for Use

• Wash around the wound with a sterile saline.
• Apply the gel liberally (approx. 3mm layer) directly to the wound or to a suitable dressing.
• In addition, using a barrier cream can further protect the wound margin.
• Dressing change frequency will depend on clinical circumstances.?It can vary from once per day for draining wounds to up to 7 days for unsoiled dressings.
• The gel can be removed from the wound by rinsing with sterile saline or water at dressing change.
